Great American Solar Eclipse
On August 21, Philadelphia will be able to view the most spectacular astronomical event to be seen from earth: a solar eclipse. The Franklin Institute’s team of expert science educators will help YOU experience this science spectacle and learn about why this event is so remarkable. Solar eclipse-related programming will take place starting at Noon in the Fels Planetarium, Franklin Hall and even along Winter Street, where museum guests will have the opportunity to build a safe solar viewer, learn about astronomy, and prepare for the big moment at 2pm. Urban Oasis Turned Wine Garden
