Innovation, In-Movers & Start-ups:
Will Center City need more office space?

Tuesday, December 13, 8:30 AM

The Logan Hotel
18th Street & Benjamin Franklin Parkway

Bret Perkins, Vice President, External & Government Affairs, Comcast Corporation
Bob Moul, CEO, Cloudamize, Past President of Philly Start-up Leaders
Ed O’Brien, Chief Real Estate Officer, Benjamin’s Desk

Comcast will be expanding its vertical campus with the opening of its second building, the new Comcast Technology Center, in early 2018; locally-grown businesses are moving up into newly-renovated space with Class A rents; regional firms are opening satellite offices in coworking sites downtown to access highly-educated, city workers; and innovation is the buzz-word for existing and newly planned districts in Center City and University City. With Comcast seeking to drive innovation, more millennials choosing an urban lifestyle in Center City, and tax reform advancing at the state level, enabling Philadelphia to reduce wage and business taxes, have we finally moved beyond office tenants playing "musical chairs" into a new cycle of sustained downtown office growth? What is still needed to create a sustainable innovation ecosystem and long-term growth?

Come hear a panel discussion on the changing trends favoring Philadelphia’s CBD and how this will affect Center City’s office and housing markets in 2017.

Sponsored by The Logan Hotel
