PIFA 2016: We Are What We Make
The Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts presents the third installment of the Philadelphia International Festival of the Arts (PIFA), April 8-23. This year's theme is “We Are What We Make.” Performances, installations and events will take place across the venues of the Kimmel Center's campus, as well as select locations throughout the city. MANNA Says Shut Up & Dance
MANNA cooks and delivers nutritious, medically-appropriate meals and provides nutrition counseling to neighbors who are battling life-threatening illnesses such as cancer, renal disease and HIV/AIDS. Their 24th annual benefit, Shut Up & Dance 2016 will be held April 9 at the Forrest Theatre. Never-before-seen original choreography, presented by Dancers of Pennsylvania Ballet, will be a highlight of this one-night-only performance. MANNA is also excited to welcome a new host this year, Martha Graham Cracker.

New Date for Dining Out for Life
There is a new date for Dining Out for Life, April 14. Every year, participating restaurants donate 33% of each diner's food bill to local AIDS service organizations, and volunteer ambassadors raise additional contributions from individual patrons. Anyone who donates $25 or more is eligible for 20%-off Tuesdays at participating restaurants for the rest of the year. Come out and bring your appetite. For more information, go to ActionAIDS.org.

The Runway, Hijacked
On April 20, the Philadelphia Fashion Incubator welcomes Wall Street Journal columnist Teri Agins to discuss her book, Hijacking the Runway, and the impact that celebrity culture has had on the fashion industry. Save the Date: World Tai Chi Day at Dilworth Park
Join Master Jingshan Tang and students from the Oriental Fitness Institute in celebration of World Tai Chi/QiGong Day! On April 30, Philadelphia will take part in this global event at Dilworth Park from 11am-3pm. Master Tang will lead group workshops and demonstrations in QiGong and several Tai Chi styles. All are welcome to participate in this free event.
