Pairings on the Parkway is back! Thursdays, 5-8pm!
This BYOB event returns for another season at Sister Cities Park, featuring singer-songwriter style live music each week through August, 5:30-7:30pm.
Logan Square Café inside the park will offer a special summer grilling menu and the Children's Discovery Garden will offer extended hours. Chaddsford Winery will be on-site every week of the series, so for your convenience, you don’t have to BYOB you can buy a bottle or glass at the park.

Science So Close to Home
Experience the fascinating science that’s literally in your own backyard in a new exhibit opening June 9, at the Academy of Natural Sciences of Drexel University. Backyard Adventures is filled with interactive play stations where families can investigate the great outdoors and discover a hidden world of science. Visitors can ride a bee bike, collect nectar, explore a food web pond, copy critter calls, and even dress up like a favorite animal. Engaging in fun activities like mini-golf, children will solve simple physics challenges and uncover the amazing interactions between insects and plants.

A Grand Old Flag
From star-spangled banners to five-star generals, the June 14 Stripes and Stars Festival celebrates the shared birthday of the American flag and the U.S. Army. Joining in the fun are locations throughout Independence National Historical Park and Historic Philadelphia, including Independence Hall, Betsy Ross House, Christ Church Burial Ground, and the National Constitution Center. Events include flag raising ceremonies, a patriotic parade, a swearing-in of Future Soldiers, a dramatic skydiving demonstration, displays and demonstrations of U.S. Army equipment, giant flag folding demonstrations, and a moving naturalization ceremony. All Aboard! Build the Rail Park Happy Hour
Construction of The Rail Park is underway! Stretching from Broad Street at Noble to Callowhill between 11th and 12th Streets, this historic quarter mile will soon become Philadelphia's newest elevated public park, celebrating the city's industrial past and cultural heritage. Head to the Trestle Inn on June 7, 5-8pm, for the Build the Rail Park Happy Hour. This month, there'll also be adoptable pets on-site and treats provided by Doggie Style. If you already have a beloved buddy, BYOD - Bring Your Own Dog! Twenty percent of all sales will help raise funds for Phase 1 construction. This event is free, but kindly register at RailParkHH.com.
