Pictures in the Park

Outdoor Movie Series at Dilworth Park Begins July 19

Watch blockbuster films on the big screen at Pictures in the Park presented by TD Bank! On July 19 through August 23, Marvel: Universe of Super Heroes at the Franklin Institute will sponsor fantastic fantasies and super hero smash-hits every Friday night starting at 8:30 p.m. The series will begin each week with movie trivia curated by the Philadelphia Film Society.

TD Bank will provide free popcorn to the first 100 guests while supplies last. Snacks and refreshments, including beer, wine and cocktails, will be available for purchase at the Dilworth Park Café. These free events are perfect for family nights, friendly hangs and first dates. So, bring a blanket, pick a spot and enjoy the show!

Cardio Kickboxing at Dilworth Park Begins July 30

Rothman Orthopaedics presents Center City Fit is committed to helping Philadelphians reach their summertime fitness goals! Cardio Kickboxing will return on July 30, combining fat-burning and calorie-blasting drills for a workout that really packs a punch! The versatile Guy Nanni will host this class on Tuesdays through October 15 from 6 p.m.-7p.m.

Rothman Orthopaedics presents Center City Fit classes are free to guests 18 and older, and to minors with a parent or guardian present. All participants must sign a waiver at the start of each class.

Live at Sister Cities Park

Live Music at Sister Cities Park on Thursday Nights

Guests of all ages are invited to enjoy a season-long party on the Parkway at Live at Sister Cities Park! Now through August 29, a full lineup of local singer-songwriters will perform from 5 p.m.-8 p.m. every Thursday evening, with Sister Cities Café offering a variety of on-site refreshments and summertime favorites, like Weckerly’s ice cream, artisan flatbreads and kid-friendly mac and cheese. Beer, wine and cocktails will also be available to guests 21 and older.

Little ones will love the park’s Children’s Discovery Garden and Boat Pond, designed to mimic the intricate and beautiful landscape of Philadelphia’s Wissahickon Valley. The Earth Fountain can help keep visitors cool in between sets. While BYOB libations are prohibited during this series, parkgoers are encouraged to bring blankets and chairs for the lawn.
