Best of Philly® Soirée
August 2, 6:30pm
Join Philadelphia magazine in the heart of Philadelphia on August 2 for an evening of award-winning food, summer cocktails and dancing under the stars in celebration of this year's Best of Philly® winners. While there, be sure to stop by the Center City District Foundation's table. The Foundation is holding a silent auction and raffle, the proceeds of which will support the next generation of public space improvements. Click Here for a list of items up for auction. Best of Philly® Tickets: General admission, $110 (for entrance at 6:30pm); VIP, $165 (entrance at 5:30pm). $95 general admission tickets are available when purchased for groups of five or more. Sips at Dilworth Park
Wednesdays, 5-7pm
It's the last month for Sips at Dilworth Park. Enjoy $6 refreshing Hornitos and Effen Vodka cocktails, $5 wine, and $4 Michelob Ultra and Bud Light along with a DJ each week to get you in the mood to groove. Stick around for more fun after Sips, as the DJ spins until 8:30pm. Look for the special Temple Take Over Night on August 29, presented by the Temple University Alumni Association!

Pictures in the Park
Fridays, 8:30pm
There's no better way to spend a Friday night than watching a movie on the big screen right at City Hall, with Pictures in the Park presented by TD Bank! Films start at 8:30pm, bring your own blanket or chair! Plus, every week, there'll be free popcorn (first come, first served), courtesy of TD Bank! Pictures in the Park is not a BYOB event, but drinks are available for purchase onsite, at the Dilworth Park Café and Air Grille.

New this year- Pitchers in the Park at 7:30pm each Friday! Head to the park early and grab a pitcher of your favorite beverage, Bud Light, from the Dilworth Park Café, some popcorn and enjoy spoiler-free movie trivia led by the Philadelphia Film Society, and music soundtracks leading into each movie showing.

Before Hollywood: Philadelphia and the Birth of the Movies
August 7, 8:15pm
(With a discussion, "The Rise of the Rocky Steps," at the Philadelphia Museum of Art stairs beforehand, at 6:30)
See a free outdoor screening of the new documentary, Before Hollywood: Philadelphia and the Birth of the Movies, by History Making Productions. The film tells the story of the city as the cradle of motion pictures, where movies took their first steps. Carrie Rickey, the film's producer, and director Andrew Ferrett will introduce the film. Bring your own lawn chairs and blankets. Wine from Chaddsford Winery, along with craft beer and movie snacks, will be available for sale at the screening.
Before the film, go to the Philadelphia Museum of Art Steps for a Parkway 100 Community Conversation, "The Rise of the Rocky Steps." Learn how the steps became famous with Steadicam inventor Garrett Brown, ROCKY Statue sculptor A. Thomas Schomberg, Greater Philadelphia Film Office Executive Director Sharon Pinkenson, and "Rocky Stories" author Michael Vitez. |

Join The Franklin Institute every Monday to learn how to bring the FUN back into science!

10:30am - Grow Up Green
Each week a different activity will be introduced by Philadelphia Parks & Recreation staff.
11:30am - Crafty Creations
Let your imagination and creativity come out to play with weekly craft projects inspired by The Fabric Workshop and Museum.
12:30pm - Nature in the Park
Join the Academy of Natural Sciences of Drexel University for fun-filled natural science activities for budding young scientists!

Pairings on the Parkway- Final Month!
Thursdays, 5-8pm
This BYOB event only has a few more weeks at Sister Cities Park, featuring singer-songwriter style live music each Thursday evening. Logan Square Café inside the park will offer a special summer grilling menu and the Children's Discovery Garden will offer extended hours. You can also enjoy Chaddsford Winery wines by the glass ($6 to $8) and PA craft beer cans ($6), or purchase wine by the bottle to take home ($12 to $18).

John F. Collins Park is a small quiet oasis off busy Chestnut Street in Center City Philadelphia. It's a relaxing spot for lunch, reading, or just enjoying a beautiful day.
Through the generosity of the William Penn Foundation, the Center City District has restored the park's fountain, benches, landscaping and lighting. John F. Collins Park is owned and operated by the Center City District Foundation.
