New! Deck the Hall Light Show presented by Independence Blue Cross - Opening November 20
New to Dilworth Park this season- an animated light show, synchronized with holiday music and projected on City Hall. This choreographed light show will be presented multiple times nightly, seven days a week, highlighting the architecture of the west portal of City Hall and visible from Dilworth Park and along West Market Street. The Rothman Institute Ice Rink Opens November 10 at Noon!
M-Th: Noon-9pm; F: Noon-11pm; Sa: 11am-11pm; Su: 11am-8pm

The Rothman Institute Ice Rink at Dilworth Park is an unparalleled entertainment experience on Philadelphia's center stage in a wonderfully unique urban setting. Open daily, admission is $3 for children ages 10 and under and $5 for adults. Skate rental is $10. Visit DilworthPark.org/wintergarden/rothman-rink/ for special holiday hours, events, rental information, and more. Opening day will kick off the season with a salute to veterans and active military, including free skating with military ID until 11pm. Plus, all opening day visitors are encouraged to bring a non-perishable food item for the Liberty USO's Thanksgiving Basket Drive. Rothman Institute employees will hand out free flags to the first 300 people. There will also be performances from the Philly POPS and figure skating by the Philadelphia Symmetry Junior Team.

College Nights

College students show their ID and pay $2 for admission plus skate rental for an evening of fun with friends at the Rothman Rink. Discount cannot be used in conjunction with other offers.

Santa Express
All aboard! Santa Claus is comin' to the Rothman Ice Rink on SEPTA! Board specially decorated SEPTA trains filled with entertainment for a fun-filled holiday ride. Visit ISEPTAPhilly.com for train times and stations and to plan your trip to Dilworth Park. A festive parade will welcome Santa, Mrs. Claus and the elves to the Rothman Ice Rink, where riders are invited to stay and skate with Santa.

Learn to Skate

The Rothman Ice Rink at Dilworth Park offers skating lessons for children and adults. Basics are taught in 30-minute lessons, led by professional skate instructors. Each four-week session is $100 and includes lessons, admission and skate rental. Visit DilworthPark.org/wintergarden/rothman-rink/ for times, registration and age groups.

Cozy up with warm cocktails like DeKuyper Cordial-spiked Hot Chocolate or festive drinks featuring Hornitos Tequila along with craft beers from Victory Brewing and Stella Artois. Many offerings to savor and share such as poutine and chili are available on the artfully crafted menu. Adults 21 and over can enjoy a glass of wine, a specialty cocktail and a selection of beer starting at 5pm on weekdays, and 11am on the weekends. America's Garden Capital Maze - Opening November 10
Stroll through America's Garden Capital Maze at Dilworth Park, a holiday-inspired garden created in partnership with Greater Philadelphia Gardens. Located on the Albert M. Greenfield Lawn, children and adults will delight in discovering picture-perfect moments amid holiday topiaries, twinkling lights, and seasonal plants that showcase more than 30 public gardens, arboreta, and historic landscapes located within 30 miles of Philadelphia. Library in the Park Book Cart

Courtesy of corporate partner TD Bank, America's Most Convenient Bank® with support from the Free Library of Philadelphia, and the Lindback Foundation, the Library in the Park program has been refreshed with a larger, brighter cart, and it now includes more books for children to read. It is ongoing and available during park hours for children to select books to read while they are in the park. The program is geared toward toddlers and preschoolers with books specially selected for their age group. 

John F. Collins Park

John F. Collins Park is a small quiet oasis off busy Chestnut Street in Center City Philadelphia. It's a relaxing spot for lunch, reading, or just enjoying a beautiful day.

Through the generosity of the William Penn Foundation, the Center City District has restored the park's fountain, benches, landscaping and lighting. John F. Collins Park is owned and operated by the Center City District Foundation.
