The Center City District invites you to the rededication of
Chestnut Park

1707 Chestnut Street
April 20, 2011
11:45 AM

Chestnut Park was inspired by Philadelphia philanthropist Dorothy (Mrs. F. Otto) Haas and was constructed in 1979 with generous funding from the William Penn Foundation. Originally designed by John Collins of the Delta Group and later managed by the PenJerDel Regional Foundation, Chestnut Park was transferred to the Center City District Foundation in January 2010 for continued stewardship.

Through the generosity of the William Penn Foundation, the Center City District has renovated the park, making the park more visible while respecting its original design, restoring the park’s original Christopher Ray sculptures and gates and renovating the fountain, benches, landscaping and lighting.
Join us in celebrating the rededication of this remarkable place.

A reception and entertainment follows a brief program.
